More than 70 years ago, a German woman by the  name of Marlene Wetzel-Hackspacher from the Sudetenland smuggled a cooking iron into Swabia. Since then, the family has been producing the original Carlsbad wafers, which are a Bohemian specialty, and other crunchy delicacies
